ATS-6 Data Information

Telescope Data Information:

The summary plots show the flux as measured by telescopes A, B, C, and H for the indicated energies. Data from telescopes A, B, and C were obtained with 3 seconds time resolution for 48 seconds out of the 64 seconds major frame (normal time resolution), while data from telescope H were obtained in 1 second time resolution for 12 seconds out of 64 the second major frame. During the remaining 4 seconds LEPE was operated in 0.5 second high time resolution. The data are two minute averaged. The data gap between 0015 and 0330 UT is due to the Hughes Solar Cell Experiment.

Key to Data:

MM/DD/YY (DAY#) Start Time-Stop Time (in UT) Telescope

UCLA Fluxgate Magnetometer Data:

The three components of the magnetic field Bx, By, and Bz refer to the Environmental Measurements Experiment (EME) coordinate system with:

  • z : + = towards earth, - = away from earth
  • x : + = east direction, - = west direction
  • y : + = south direction, - = north direction

The x and y axes are rotated 13 degrees counterclockwise to the spacecraft x-y axes.
